LitigateWise – Course Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: 1st October 2025
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of courses in litigation for non-lawyers by LitigateWise (“we”, “us”, “our”) to any participant (“you”, “your”). By booking or attending a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Course Fees and Payment
1.1 All course fees must be paid in full in advance at the time of booking.
1.2 Your place on the course will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
2. Refunds and Cancellations
2.1 You may cancel your booking by providing written notice. Refunds will be processed as follows:
At least 14 days before the course start date: Full refund.
Between 7 and 14 days before the course start date: 50% refund.
Less than 7 days before the course start date: No refund, unless waived at our discretion.
2.2 If you are unable to attend, you may re-book the same course on a future date (subject to availability) at no additional charge.
3. Nature of the Course
3.1 Our courses are strictly educational.
3.2 No legal advice is given or intended. Participation in a course does not create any solicitor-client relationship or entitlement to legal representation.
4. Use of Materials
4.1 Course materials provided are for your private educational use only.
4.2 You must not copy, distribute, or otherwise use the materials for any commercial or public purpose without our prior written consent.
5. Recording and Confidentiality
5.1 You must not record, by any means, any part of the course sessions.
5.2 We may provide recordings or materials at our discretion for educational purposes.
6. Technical Requirements
6.1 Courses are delivered online via Microsoft Teams.
6.2 It is your responsibility to ensure you have access to a computer, internet connection, and software capable of joining Microsoft Teams meetings.
6.3 If you are unable to join a course session for technical reasons, you will not be entitled to a refund of the course fee. However, at our discretion, we may allow you to attend a later session.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss, damage, or expense arising from your participation in a course, save for cases of negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.
7.2 Nothing in these Terms shall exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
8.1 These Terms and any dispute arising under them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
8.2 The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms.
9. General
9.1 We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be notified to you in advance.
9.2 If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
